At 9:30 this morning, a 59-yr-old man was taken into Garda custody over allegedly pointing an air rifle at an Irish Water worker outside his house.
It happened at Quay Road in Clarecastle. The man reputedly confronted workers yesterday and prevented them from installing a meter outside his home.
Witnesses said the Irish Water Workers “literally ran away”.
Armed detectives were called to the scene, where a man was arrested and taken to Ennis Garda Station for questioning. No shots were fired and no one was injured.
This incident just shows how so many people are at the end of their nerve with these immoral installations.
