Police in the US have confirmed that an Irishman has been arrested in connection with alleged sexual offences that occurred in Ireland between 2004 and 2009.
According to reports in the US, the man who is known to have worked at GAA grounds in the Midlands was arrested on Wednesday.
It is understood that the man was arrested by officers from Homeland Security.
The man who moved to the US back in 2013 is due to appear in court on Friday 25th January for an extradition hearing.
