Judge Martin Nolan gives Mongolian foreign national living in Ireland under “improper status” four years prison time for two different sex attacks on two women in Dublin. Judge says this sex predator “could be or should be deported”

A DNA match was used to trace a 25 year-old Mongolian foreign national in a sex assault were he bit one of his victims on the shoulder after grabbing his victim and dragging her into a laneway. She managed to break away from her attacker.

Mongolian foreign national Jambasambuu Ekhtur was linked to the attack after being identified on CCTV following a similar attack in October 2019.

In the October ’19 attack Ekhtur came up behind his victim and grabbed her privates very hard. His hand went under the woman’s skirt and grabbed her vagina area over her tights reports the Sunday World.

The attacks have had a profound impact on both of Ekhtur’s victims. One victim told the court “I used to love running before my attacker took it away from me.” The other victim told the court “she was “blindsided” by a “predatorial creep”. She said she was driven mad and was unable to continue working, but “thankfully” she asked for help and got it”, reports the Sunday World.

The court heard that Ekhtur arrived in Ireland in late 2018 or early 2019 and was working in a bar at the time of one of the attacks.

According to the Sunday World, Judge Martin Nolan, when handing out the four year sentence stated “Obviously it seems he is here with improper status”. Whilst not outlined directly, this may be a reference to the predator entering Ireland as an “Asylum seeker”. The court heard the predator had no previous convictions in Ireland but it was not highlighted in court if a check was made for convictions in his home country.

The Sunday World reports that the Judge went onto say “It seems he could be or should be deported back to Mongolia”.
