Lidl store at Fortunestown to be rebuilt after thugs caused heavy damage during looting attack

A spokesperson for Lidl has confirmed that the Fortunestown store which was heavily damaged during a looting attack on March 2 will be rebuilt.

The building sustained so much damage that was barely left standing. Engineers recommended its demolition, and a new store will be built on the same site instead.

The new store is scheduled to open by late summer.
