Social media users have been angered over how the Irish government allowed yet another homeless person to die in the freezing cold while in his tent on a central Dublin street.

People are saying that the circa 10,000 homeless Irish people should be fully facilitated with accommodation, medical cards and other such facilities long before any refugees jump the queue in the form of 100,000 Ukrainians coming onto our shores over the coming weeks.

Many people are saying that we should look after our own first and that the homeless of Ireland are being overlooked yet again.

It appears as though the Irish government are more concerned with how Ireland looks on the EU and US stage in relation to the Ukraine conflict rather than what we’re actually doing to help our own.

Gardai have confirmed that they body of a homeless man was discovered in a tent on Loftus Lane between Parnell St and Bolton St shortly after 3am on Monday morning.

It’s understood that emergency personnel tried to help the man but tragically he was pronounced dead.

An investigation has been launched yo determine the man’s death.

This shockingly sad news comes as many people on social media have been saying that Ireland needs to look after its own first and house the homeless Irish people before giving housing to any refugees.
