Maguire’s on Grafton Street is to close on January 18th. The convenience store at 109 Grafton Street, which is especially popular with Trinity College students will make way for a new health food restaurant franchise, ‘Chopped’.
The shop wile still while maintain its current ownership. The Dublin chain which was established in 2012, already has four locations in the city: Ballsbridge, Baggot Street, Fairview, and St Stephens Green.
In a message posted on its Facebook page, the only online presence the shop currently maintains, Maguires management stated: “To all our loyal customers over the years, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for your business, it really is very much appreciated. You have kept [us] busy through one of the worst recessions the country has ever seen”, adding that “We are very excited about our next chapter for the business and hope you are too”
