Gardai in Co Cork have confirmed that a man aged in his 40s has been arrested following the seizure of €80,000 worth of drugs.
It is understood the man’s arrest comes after Gardai from the Mallow and Mayfield drugs unit seized €70,000 worth of cannabis and €10,000 worth of cocaine were seized at number of premises over the weekend.
Gardai say they also seized €22,000 in cash following the searches which were part of an operation targeting the distribution of illegal drugs in Cork City.
They added the man is currently being questioned at Mallow Garda Station.
