Gardai have arrested a man in connection with a serious assault in Co. Kerry in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened in the town of Castleisland. Passers by found a man in his 20s lying on the street, with apparent head injuries.
The man remains in a serious condition in Cork University Hospital this evening.
A suspect has now been arrested in connection with the incident.
