A man has died after he plunged thousands of feet whilst skydiving in Thailand.
According to the <a href=”https://www.chiangraitimes.com/thailand-national-news/news-asia-thailand/parachute-jump-proves-fatal-for-danish-man-in-central-thailand/”>Chiang Rai Times</a>, the 30-year-old Danish tourist died after his parachute failed to open whilst he was skydiving in the Sri Racha district of Chon Buri, eastern Thailand on Saturday afternoon.
The paper reports that a number of eyewitnesses rushed to the man’s aid after he plummeted to the ground.
However despite being rushed by paramedics to Phayathai Sriracha Hospital, the 30-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
According to a number of eyewitnesses the man’s parachute did open during the jump but it failed spread fully.
The incident has now led to local authorities to investigate the skydiving company who organised the man’s jump.
