At their meeting in Dublin later on Thursday, the foreign ministers of Britain and Ireland are anticipated to talk about the growing crisis in the Middle East, reports Breaking News.
UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy will be hosted by Tánaiste and Minister of Foreign Affairs Micheál Martin in the capital’s Iveagh House.
A representative for the Department of Foreign Affairs stated that Mr. Lammy’s visit offers a crucial chance to “underscore the commitment and ambition” of both governments for the British-Irish partnership, after Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s visit to Dublin last month.
“I am looking forward to welcoming Foreign Secretary David Lammy to Dublin,” Mr. Martin stated before to the meeting. We have high goals in mind for improving our two-way partnership, reports Breaking News.
“In an enormously complex global environment, it makes sense for Ireland and the UK to work together as closely as possible to address urgent global challenges. The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East requires immediate and decisive action. I also look forward to discussing our continued resolute support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s illegal invasion,” reports Breaking News.
