The Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald has said that if a Junior civil servant had have leaked a confidential document they would have been sacked for their actions.
McDonald’s comments came as she told the Dail ahead of a no confidence vote that the Tanaiste Leo Varadkar must be held accountable for his actions.
Speaking in the Dail on Tuesday, the Sinn Fein leader also accused the Government of playing by the rule book of old boy’s network and the cozy club culture between Fianna Fail and Fine Gael is the reason why they failed families again and again.
Although the Tanaiste was given a vote of confidence in the Dail with TD’s voting 92 to 65 in favour of the Tanaiste, Sinn Fein claimed that he could offer no credible explanation for his actions.
