Met Eireann confirms first cold spell of the winter, with lows of 3C forecast




Met Eireann has confirmed that the first cold spell of the winter is on the way, with lows of 3C forecast.

According to the national forecaster, today, Friday, will be a mostly dry and bright day, though rain showers will arrive towards the evening. Temperatures will reach 17C during the day, but will sink to 3-4C overnight.

Saturday is expected to be mostly dry again, with just some showers in northern coastal areas, and temperatures reaching 16C. Saturday night will also see lows of 3C at times.

Sunday is likely to be cloudier and wetter, but overnight temperatures will be milder.
