Met Eireann is forecasting heavy showers and thunderstorms for today, with temperatures of up to 27C predicted.
According to the national forecaster, Tuesday will be a very mild and humid day, with heavy showers expected across the midlands and western areas, particularly throughout the afternoon and evening.
The outlook is for similar weather patterns to continue for the rest of this week at least.
