Met Eireann is forecasting the arrival of milder weather over the next few days, following a spell of freezing conditions.
Today, Wednesday, will see a lot of drizzle and light rain across many areas, but temperatures will rise slightly by the afternoon, reaching 9C at times.
The outlook is for showery weather to persist for the next 72h or so, but drier weather is predicted for Saturday and most of Sunday.
