There is a warning in effect for the counties of Cork, Kerry, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, and Mayo from 3 p.m. this afternoon until 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
There might be isolated flooding, and the roads could be hazardous, according to Met Éireann.
Due to heavy and continuous rain, a status Yellow rain warning has been issued for County Donegal for today, reports Independent.
Saturated earth conditions may also cause isolated flooding in the county.
Additionally, the national forecaster has alerted motorists about the challenging driving conditions in Donegal today.
The rain warning is in effect as of this morning and will remain in effect until 3 p.m. today, reports Independent.
Meanwhile, today is expected to bring rain showers throughout the whole nation.
This morning, the rain will move eastward to all locations. There is a chance of spot flooding in the northwest as the rain continues throughout the day and gets heavier in Connacht and Ulster, reports Independent.
On the other hand, Munster and Leinster will get light rain, and this afternoon, some drier and sunnier intervals will occur in the south.
Today’s high will be between 14 and 19 degrees Celsius; tonight, it will be between 14 and 16 degrees.
The night will be warm and largely overcast, with intermittent drizzle or showers, while there may be occasional brighter skies in the south, reports Independent.
