Met Eireann has issued an urgent thunderstorm warning affecting four counties.
The warning, which affects counties Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, and Leitrim, will remain in place until 9pm this evening.
The outlook is for unsettled weather over the weekend, with heavy showers at times, but temperatures will remain relatively mild, reaching 15-16C.
