Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning ahead of dreadful weather conditions this evening.
The warning, which covers counties Carlow, Cavan, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow, will kick in at 11pm tonight and remain in effect until 8am tomorrow.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties are likely to experience heavy rain, which might lead to localized flooding.
