Met Eireann is warning of a bad turn of the weather by Friday as low pressure moves in.
According to the national forecaster, Friday is likely to be a rather wet day, with top temperatures of 17-18C.
The overall outlook for the weekend is of unsettled conditions with frequent showers and longer spells of rain at times.
Early indications point to more weather misery during the early part of the following week as well.
