Met Eireann is today warning of a turn for the worse in the weather just in time for the weekend.

But things are expected to change dramatically by Friday, with heavy showers developing throughout the day.
The outlook for the weekend is rather bleak, with overcast conditions and heavy showers, with just a few bright periods.
