Met Eireann is warning of mixed weather conditions throughout the weekend, with heavy rain, periods of sunshine, and the possibility of thunderstorms.
Munster and Leinster will see the worst of the weather during the first half of Saturday, the rest of the country will follow.
Sunday is expected to be rather wet, particularly around those same provinces.
Early predictions appear to suggest that Ireland might see some summer-like weather in early June.
