The current spell of unsettled weather shows no signs of abating any time soon, as Met Eireann is predicting that heavy rainfall is set to continue for at least another two more days.

Today, Wednesday, will be a very wet day across many areas, with temperatures reaching 15C at best. Southern areas will be drier and brighter, with slightly better weather developing towards the afternoon.

Thursday will bring in heavy showers again, though temperatures are likely to rise a small bit, to about 16-17C.

Friday will see a similar weather pattern of heavy showers and periods of sunshine.
