Met Eireann is warning of very windy conditions across large swathes of the country throughout the afternoon and evening, with wind speeds of up to 100km/h expected.
There are weather alerts in place for several counties, including Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, and Sligo.
The outlook is for very unsettled weather to continue for the rest of the week and into the weekend.
