New Bank Holiday on the way to honour frontline staff and those who we sadly lost during the Covid-19 pandemic




A new Bank Holiday is reportedly on the way that will honour frontline staff and those who sadly died during the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to RTE News, the Government are currently in advanced talks over a proposed new public holiday.

It is believed that the new Bank Holiday will be introduced towards the end of the year with November or the end of December being considered as a possible date.

It is also understood that the Government will agree to offer a bonus and extra leave for frontline staff.
