A 44-yr-old man has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for sharing the mosque killings that happened on March 15th in Christchurch, New Zealand.

A man armed with heavily weaponry killed a total of 51 people in two live-broadcast killings of muslim people in two mosques.

Philip Arps pleaded guilty to sharing the videos with around 30 people. It’s understood that he also shared a video that was modified to add cross-hairs and a body count to the images of the massacre, in what has been described as a sort of “computer game” like fake video.

Christchurch District Court Judge Stephen O’Driscoll said that when Arps was asked for his opinion of the video, he replied it was “awesome”, Radio New Zealand reported.

“It is clear from all the material before me that you have strong and unrepentant views towards the Muslim community,”, reports Radio New Zealand.

He was sentenced to 21 months in prison but it’s understood that the New Zealand government have issued a warning of up to 14 years in prison if anyone is found to share the videos in the future.
