Three tourists from the UK were rushed to hospital following a serious assault in Dublin city centre on Friday night.
All three are young men aged in their 20s, gardai confirm. They were rushed to St James’s Hospital following the incident on Fownes Street Upper, in Temple Bar, at around 10.05pm.
Their injuries are said to be very serious but non-life threatening. No one has been arrested in connection with the assault.
Gardaí at Pearse Street Station are appealing for witnesses to come forward as this is now the second major tourist assault in mere weeks in Dublin’s city centre.
