Northern Lights were visible across Ireland practically all weekend

After an amazing show on Friday night, last night was verifed by Met Éireann that the Northern Lights would be visible throughout Ireland again.

After the strongest solar storm in almost 20 years, the Northern Lights were visible throughout the nation.

The aurora borealis, a celestial light show, illuminated the night sky with a spectacular that is often only seen in northern Scandinavia, Iceland, and Greenland.

When charged particles hit with gases in the Earth’s atmosphere near the magnetic poles, aurora displays result, reports RTE.
