The Norwegian Dawn cruise ship, carrying more than 3,000 people, ran aground due to a temporary malfunction in its steering system, becoming stuck on a reef off the Bermuda islands.
A small flotilla of small craft and tug boats circled the ship until high tide helped it off the reef. Once freed, the ship sailed into deeper waters and anchored for the night. Experts will examine the ship before it sets off again, bound for Boston.
There were no injuries reported.
