A man in his 60s died when the car he was driving collided with a lorry earlier today. A young man in his 20s, who was passenger in the car, was rushed to hospital.
The accident happened on the N5 road at Carrabawn, near the town of Swinford, just after 3.30pm.
The lorry driver was not injured.
