One person has died, and another one was seriously injured, following a crash between a car and a lorry in an Irish county.
The incident happened on the N4 near Ballinalack north west of Mullingar, Co. Westmeath shortly after 5pm today.
The deceased was a man in his 70s. A woman also in her 70s was airlifted to hospital. The driver of the lorry, a man in his 40s, was also taken to hospital for treatment.
