An 89-yr-old man has launched a one-man wheelchair protest after a care home has “refused to allow him to see his wife”.

Dennis Daniels alleges that he has not seen his wife Dorine because the care home where she is living will not allow the man into see her.

Dennis says that he has seen his wife every single day for the last 70 years but then he has been stopped from seeing her because he claims they said he was being loud and disruptive.

The pensioner claims that an issue arose in the nursing home when another resident started banging on his wife’s door and he went out to see what the problem was and some sort of a commotion ensued.

Dennis took things into his own hands and interpreted the fact that he was told to leave and has been banned from seeing his wife. He decided to take up a protest outside the nursing home in Grimsby where he has received much support from locals who claim that it’s an absolute outrage what’s happening to the pensioner.

He has been seen outside the nursing home holding a sign that says he’s not allowed going to see his wife. Motors have been tooting the horn in support of the pensioner.

It’s understood that social services are now going to have to intervene to try and get the situation resolved.
