Student nurses are claiming that they’re working up to 13 hours on a shift and that they’re carrying out duties that senior nurses should be doing.
The Taoiseach said that a review of nursing payments will be undertaken in 2021 and payments will start to increase, but not until September 2021.
Micheal Martin has come under immense pressure after it emerged that student nurses are practically being treated like slaves and getting either very little are no pay whatsoever for overtime and duties that they were never meant to be carrying out in the first place.
