Gardaí are investigating and appealing for witnesses after a man was discovered unconscious on the Upper Trees Road in Mount Merrion in South County Dublin at 6 am Saturday morning.
It is believed the man was walking home from a 67th birthday party when he fell before suffering head injuries. Gardaí suggest that there was no foul play involved.
The man, who was in his mid to late sixties was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where his condition was described as critical.
He passed away today at 2 pm.
