People power! Residents of Kill, Co. Kildare plan another protest against the migrant plantation in their town outside the Dáil on Tuesday December 6th

The Kill Residents Action Group will another peaceful protest outside the Dáil on Tuesday 6th December to oppose the government’s migrant plantation at a disused equestrian centre in the town.

Local citizens had expressed opposition to the plantation of the foreigners in their community but as usual, their legitimate concerns were patently ignored by the local and national authorities.

Gardai launched an investigation last month after the equestrian centre in Kill, Co. Kildare that is earmarked to be used for the plantation of 350 Ukrainian asylum seekers in the town, was damaged in an as yet unexplained fire.

The Irish Times reported that Kill Residents Action Group spokeswoman Fiona Forkan explained that a protest carried out by the group on Sunday was peaceful. “We are doing everything the correct way to get answers,”

“There has been no communication or dialogue at all with the local community. We are not angry about bringing people in. We are not saying that we don’t want to help people out.”

Across Ireland, the government under direction from the EU is targeting small, low population Irish towns and villages for plantation of Ukranian and Third World migrants, in numbers which will fundamentally and permanently alter the characters of these communities.
