Police in Nottinghamshire have begun an investigation after a six year old girl sadly died after being found unconscious on Monday afternoon.
The investigation comes after the young girl was apparently found lying on the Lincoln Road in the village of Tuxford on Monday.
In a brief statement Nottinghamshire police said they were alerted to an incident in the area shorty after 3pm on Monday afternoon.
They added we arrived to find the young girl unconscious, she was later transferred via ambulance to Sheffield Children’s Hospital, where unfortunately she was sadly prounounced dead a short time later.
A police spokesperson conclusion by saying that an investigation is currently ongoing.
