The pope has experienced a growing number of health issues in recent years after having a portion of his lungs removed when he was a young man.
On February 14, he was admitted to the Gemelli hospital in Rome, which was the longest hospital stay of his pontificate.
The Holy See announced late yesterday that the pontiff’s health condition, which had been hospitalised due to respiratory issues, “in the last 24 hours have shown a further, slight improvement,” reports RTE.
