
A pregnant woman who was stabbed to death by an attacker also had her unborn child cut out of her womb in a horrific attack, according to police. The 22-year-old victim was found by police having suffered multiple stab wounds to the torso, in the Bronx, New York City..
“It appeared that the foetus of the 22-year-old woman was surgically removed by the alleged perpetrator, who is in custody right now,” Mr King said.
Police discovered blood splattered on the property’s staircase, in a second floor bathroom and on the door of a bedroom where the victim was found. A knife was discovered on the floor, and a placenta was found in the hallway near the bathroom.
The baby girl did not suffer any injuries and is being cared for at a hospital in the Bronx. Reports say that she has been named Genesis. The local media has named the victim as Angelikque Sutton who had been due to give birth early next month. Police have yet to ascertain whether or not Ms Sutton knew her killer or why she was on the premises.
