US President Donald Trump has hit back at London Mayor Sadiq Khan who attacked the President on twitter ahead of his state visit to the UK comparing his rhetoric to that of “fascists of the 20th century.”
As the President landed in the UK at 9 PM Monday morning he tweeted
“He is a stone cold loser who should focus on crime in London, not me.
Kahn reminds me very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC, de Blasio, who has also done a terrible job – only half his height.
In any event, I look forward to being a great friend to the United Kingdom, and am looking very much forward to my visit. Landing now.”
The tweet was in reference to the soaring crime rates in London which has seen almost 140 murders so far this year, with knife crime being particularly prevalent.
Khan has been forced to roll back on his decision to limit police powers to stop and search individuals, which was taken on ground of political correctness, after stabbings increased dramatically following the reduction of the preventative measures.
President Trump also voiced his admiration for Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage and the potential successor to Teresa May, Boris Johnson and his stop in the UK is part of a European tour coinciding with the 75th commemoration of the D-Day landings on June 6th, 1945.
