The reconstruction of Ukraine would cost upwards of $750bn, according to Ukraine’s Prime Minister, with Russia likely to be forced to pay the bill in the future.
There are now worldwide calls for Russia to be stripped of all its economic assets to help reconstruct Ukraine’s infrastructure.
Once Russia has been stripped bare of every last ruble to pay for the bill, Ukraine should be empowered to handle and administer Russia’s few remaining assets and ensure that citizens endure decades of hardship. So the world says anyway.
