Right-wing, Eurosceptic nationalists win big in Estonia general election

A right-wing, Eurosceptic party has won Estonia’s general election, beating the ruling Centre party.

The centre-right ‘Reform’, led by former MEP Kaja Kallas, took about 29% of the vote to 23% for Centre in Sunday’s ballot.

The right-wing, nationalist Conservative People’s Party of Estonia (EKRE), who have called for a referendum on the country’s membership of the EU came in a close third.

The two right wing parties will now have to form a coalition government.

The result of this election will no doubt sow fear and loathing in Brussels where the EU elite are growing ever more worried ahead of the European Parliament elections in May.

Eurosceptic nationalists and populists are expected to win big across the continent in the upcoming elections which could stifle the EU’s super-national agenda.
