The tragic trend of road carnage continues, following the death of a motorist in his 30s on an Irish road.
The accident, which involved a car and a truck, happened on the N5 road at Cloonfree in Strokestown, Co. Roscommon at around 9.30am today.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, a man in his 40s, was not injured.
Gardai are asking witnesses to contact Strokestown Garda Station on 071 963 3002, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
