In levels not seen since the good days of the boom.

In just six years, Dublin’s property asking prices are up 70%. For the average worker to buy an average house is rapidly moving towards ten times the average wage.

In last night’s RTE One documentary called ‘Our Lives In Property: Oxmantown Road’, the true disaster of rent was visible for all to see.

From a 92-yr-old lady who couldn’t afford to buy her whole life, to various young families and single people look to both rent and buy.

Fluctuating prices of up to €1,700 per month to rent an average house is putting people to the pin of their collar.
