Molly Madden, Ireland’s oldest person, has sadly passed away today at the age of 110.
Records show that Molly (nee Keane) was born in Galway on December 8, 1906. Her family moved to the village of Kincon in north Mayo when she was just three years old.
Molly later moved to Ballycastle and married a local man, Pat Madden. She remained living in there until shortly before her 100th birthday.
The news of Molly’s passing was posted by her grandson John today.
