Scam artists are out in force again, this time trying to scam people by using a fake An Post text alert.
The text message is being sent to random numbers claiming that people’s parcels are waiting for delivery. They say they must confirm the delivery with a settlement payment of €1.99 that must be paid by clicking into a link called anpost.paymentacconline.com
It cannot be emphasised enough that this text message is a scam and people are asked to share this with their elderly family, friends and neighbours to make them aware of this scam.
