Homelessness in Ireland has reached a record high, after latest figures published for the month of January have revealed there are currently 9,104 people without a home across the country.
The latest figures which were published by the Department of Housing will once again give great cause for concern for a number of homeless charities and the Government.
In the detailed report which accounts for those without permanent accommodation in the month of January, the department found that there are currently 3,267 children homeless in Ireland.
The overall figures which has seen an increase of 517 people since the month of December, has once again been condemned by homeless charity groups who have yet again called on the Government to intervene.
