One of Britain’s most infamous serial killers of recent times has reportedly threatened to kill themselves in prison due their ongoing health problems.
According to The Mirror newspaper Rose West who was sentenced to life behind bars back in the mid 1990s for ten murders including the murders of her daughter and step daughter, has reportedly told a close friend that she is considering ending her life if she goes blind.
The paper reports that West who came to the attention of the world after she and her husband Fred killed a number of girls and young women at their home during the 1980s and 1990s, revealed to close friend that she would end her life if she loses her sight due to the rapid progression of her glaucoma.
It is understood that the notorious serial killer who allegedly tortured her victims along with her husband before killing them at their home on Cromwell Street in Gloucester, was diagnosed with the condition back in July.
The paper also claims the source told them that West is now wearing her trademark glasses in order for her to carry out routine tasks every day.
However West, who will spend the rest of her life behind bars, is thought to be living a relatively happy life in prison as she has become somewhat of a friendly figure amongst other prisoners.
The source apparently told the paper Rose is doing quite well despite her ongoing condition and she is getting along with fellow inmates who apparently come to her for advice and free hair cuts.
West was reported to be unwell a number of months go with many claiming that the convicted murderer had been struck with a mystery illness that posed a serious threat to her life.
However the rumours have since been quashed with sources close to the 64 year old saying they were completely untrue and utter rubbish.
