They may have disagreed over the result of their epic fight in Las Vegas on Saturday night, but both Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz will be laughing all the way to the bank as they look set to pocket a tidy sum for their efforts.
According to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, ‘The Notorious’ McGregor is going to take home a cool $3 million for participating in the fight alone, whilst he stands to earn even more with bonuses and a slice of the pay-per-view revenue.
Meanwhile Diaz will earn a minimum of $2 million for the fight. The large sum now makes McGregor the highest paid fighter in the UFC with his earnings eclipsing that of Brock Lesnar who pocketed $2.5m at UFC 200.
