A Status Orange weather warning due to thick, lingering fog remains in place across Ireland.
Many areas of the country woke up this morning shrouded in a thick blanket of fog. It has mostly cleared by now, but some patches do linger across Ireland.
Motorists are advised to proceed with care around sheltered areas, or places where fog is likely to remain throughout the day.
