A Status Yellow weather warning is in place for counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, and Wicklow, due to heavy rain.
The national forecaster says that up to 30 to 40mm of rain could fall in those counties today, which may lead to localised flooding.
The warning will remain in place until 9pm this evening.
The rain will clear throughout Sunday and into Monday.
