A stray cow caused a serious road crash in Co. Clare on Tuesday evening, with four people hospitalized as a result.
The accident, which involved two cars, happened on the N18 road near Junction 5 at Cratloe shortly after 11pm.
The occupants of the cars, two men and two women, were taken to University Hospital Limerick.
The animal died from its injuries.
