10,000 Lufthansa pilots have gone on strike, forcing the cancellation of a handful of flights to and from Germany. In Dublin, three scheduled flights to Frankfurt had to be cancelled, and two arrivals from the same city and one from Munich also were cancelled.
The row centers around wage increases and working rosters.
The German pilots are the latest sector to take strike action. Train drivers stopped working during the weekend, causing major disruption to passengers just as school holidays began in Germany.
